Systemized Narcissism squeezes and regresses parents, propels children into adult decisions/roles in ultimate nanny state maneuvers
I've lived in the South, Northeast and the West Coast. California, where I currently reside, is ground zero for narcissism, not only for the United States, but exported around the world from Hollywood, Silicon Valley and now most likely, legislatively.
Narcissism is both infectious and contagious. Like a virus, narcissism spreads, and as a result, globally, we have not only a narcissism epidemic, but a pandemic. The more narcissists, the more narcissistic abuse, which in turn inflames victims’ narcissistic defenses and thus, is catching. You become the company you keep.
Gender ideology is no different from the spread of narcissism, in that it is a form of social contagion like cutting or anorexia/bulimia. Transgenderism is the new anorexia, as predicated on "gender dysmorphia" or more likely for transgenderism, autism and/or personality disorders such as borderline. Many girls are transitioning, especially if they are infected by this social contagion by other girls in their cohort at school, for instance.
If these gender laws pass, we will likely see more of the same laws and cultural sentiment/mores exported throughout the world. What happens legislatively in California becomes a bellwether.
Already, Senate Bill 107 was passed last year, where California became a sanctuary state for “gender affirming care”, as espoused by Sen. Scott Wiener, D-San Francisco, who is also a singular figure behind the proposed gender legislation in process currently. What this sanctuary state designation means on the ground is that one parent of a divorced couple can move their kid to California to seek likely irreversible “gender affirming care” without the consent of the other parent.
Let's take a look at the newest proposed bills.
AB 957: The intent of this bill is to change the language concerning the health, safety and welfare of a child to include a parent’s affirmation of the child’s gender identity. This bill seeks to remove any child from a parent or family that is not “gender affirming” their child because this will now be considered abuse and neglect.
AB 223: This bill would require any petition for a change of gender, sex identifier, and name filed by a person under 18 years of age, and any papers associated with the proceeding, to be filed under seal. In other words, minors are allowed to change their gender and name legally without their parent’s knowledge.
AB 665: This bill concerns the mental health services of a minor and removes the requirement that children must be a danger to themselves or others, or be alleged incest or abuse victims, before seeking care without their parents’ consent. This law enables school counselors, without parental knowledge or consent, to send children straight to a group home upon a minor’s request even if the child isn’t experiencing abuse or neglect, or if children say their parents aren’t supportive of their “gender identities.”
Effectively, should AB 665 become a law, California is sanctioning state kidnapping of children, which cuts parents out of the decision entirely if a 12 year old decides his parents shouldn't be told he's getting "mental health treatment." This dangerous bill eliminates parental consent for mental health counseling, treatment and medication a child aged 12 and up may receive. Given the gender ideological capture of many so-called mental health professionals, the state of play is alarming. Even if the state absconds with the child, the parent is still financially on the hook for said child.

The paradox of narcissism as expressed through these proposed bills, and more generally, is that it is both infantilizing and authoritarian more or less, simultaneously. Parents are infantilized under an authoritarian nanny state, where the state, if these laws pass, will have more control over parent’s minor children's future than parents do over their own children when it comes to gender identity and expression.
The Californian operating mindset seems to be that if you are pro-reality and not down with the authoritarian transgender cult, you are abusive period, nevermind that the root causes for your child's “gender dysphoria” may be a combination of social contagion, autism and/or borderline personality disorder, etc. To admit as much would be “anti-progressive” and “abusive” even though transgenderism as a social phenomenon, née construct, is basically new with rapid expansion in the last five years or so. We are all suddenly meant to get on board permanently, regardless of the ephemerality of a child's “gender identity,” even if they are suffering mental conditions other than the shoehorned, one-size-fits-all blanket “gender dysphoria”.
This is a systematized medical travesty not seen since the likes of lobotomies. The further a society recants from reality, the more pathological it becomes, and the more it's whipping up its own recipe for its own civilizational collapse. It's been argued that the gender wars may be a more pressing and existential threat than even climate change.
Gender ideology is the stuff of Mao’s Cultural Revolution, otherwise known as cultural Marxism, where social norms were redefined and a unisex gender-less society was promoted. Girls dressed like boys/soldiers in order to create confusion and social chaos. Dating in schools was banned.
It's as though the transgender cult craves more human sacrifices on its ideological altar of experimental, disfiguring “medicine” of mastectomies (top surgeries) vaginoplasties/phalloplasties/orchiectomies (bottom surgeries).
As a parallel, the narcissist metaphorically kills himself as a child so as to obviate shame, hurt and trauma by sacrificing his true self to a hungry god called the False Self, i.e., the narcissist. The False Self is everything the child is not—omnipotent, omniscient and god-like. This False Self is in a constant quest for converts to also mentally subjugate, negate and annul in its death cult.
Those with mental disturbances are looking for a silver bullet panacea to what ails them emotionally. Children are not developmentally equipped to make adult decisions to be put in a pipeline from puberty blockers, cross sex hormones to surgeries, especially in this fantastical, delusional narcissistic age where all the “adults” in the room— parents, mental health professionals and government officials are in collusion with one another to buttress and bolster a shared fantasy of transgenderism. That the state is attempting to codify and entrench these delusional anti-reality social “norms” is further exposing societal gross pathology. Pathology can be defined as being divorced from reality, i.e., crazy.
The narcissistic authoritarianism of the transgender movement as an extension of postmodern woke ideology, refuses to be questioned, let alone scrutinized, lest you face social annihilation in the form of cancellation. Narcissism is a zero-sum game, if you're down, I'm up and vice versa. It's also a reification of black and white, dichotomous thinking, known as splitting. Splitting is ironically, binary in this non-binary paradigm.
The narcissistic, solipsistic (self-referential) authoritarianism of the transgender movement also dovetails with totalitarianism in that it's predicated on an ideological fervor and extreme faith put into technological advancements, as political theorist and totalitarianism expert, Hannah Arendt sharply observed; the societal role of technology, or more pointedly, medicalization in the case of transgenderism, is key to totalitarianism. The irony is rich that to transcend one’s gender is to succumb to a lifetime of oppressive, invasive, and expensive medicalization at the hands of goal-oriented, i.e., psychopathic doctors and surgeons who have no ethical compass or conscience, all to suffer a host of dangerous and miserable medical complications like inability to orgasm, sterilization, osteoporosis, chronic infections, and all manner of other unintended consequences. It's no wonder that we collectively find ourselves in this cultural moment when the technological advances of the past century or so have occurred, relatively speaking, at warp speed; it would be easy for society to delude itself that even social problems to do with gender could be transcended through technological means.
It is at this level that Hannah Arendt situates the ideal subject of the totalitarian state: the subject that no longer knows the difference between (pseudo)-scientific fiction and reality.
To heal this narcissistic chasm between fantastical ideology and reality, it's time for parents to grow up by stopping ceding ground to both their children and the state. It's time to encourage children to mature into adults to make grown-up decisions about their sexual identity and not be a pawn in the culture wars of risky medicalization of mental duress and functioning as experimental, collateral damage on the altar of the False Self transgenderism cult, thinking that one can achieve being the opposite sex and gender. It's time for the state to curtail its authoritarian overreach in order to stem the tide of parental narcissistic regression.
These positive, pro-social developments would require intact reality testing, mutual partnership and trust between parents, minor children and the state. Meeting the bar of these three requirements is in short supply in a narcissistic era.
Excellent piece- love the connection between gender ideology worshippers and narcissism. Denial and rejection of vulnerable/weak self leads to annihilation of all representations of ‘weakness’. Most upsetting that children are being sacrificed and interpretations of the rights of the child are justifying welfare state actions by overriding parent-child/family relationship. Narcissism is on a spectrum- and we should always be trying to lower the volume, instead. raising to ear-shattering levels.
It also seems to me that there is a lot of energy surrounding the push to more extreme "solutions", when thoughtful consideration would obviously be a better outcome. The increasing. demands seem related to the failure of the solutions.
On a more personal note, I hat the. see this happening to kids, growing up is challenging enough without the pressure to conform to these ever changing standards.
